our guide informed us that this was a famous hanoi traditional breakfast meal - glutinous rice, mung beans, fried shallots and lots of different toppings. this was indeed a very tasty and filling combination. it was also most enjoyable watching the staff assemble the dish. as always, part of the fun is sitting on the low stools by the pavement amidst all the hustle

We went there after our day trip to Halong Bay and we fell in love with the place. Went back again 3 times in the following couple days. The food is absolutely amazing, we were in heaven. And it is so so cheap. We paid 35 000 dong each for sticky rice, chinese bbq meat and egg. Good portions and really tasty. I will crave that food everywhere I go.
